Blue going green going well
In the Spring 10
edition of Organic Waste News we promised an update on the trials
involving the newer 'green' additive products for chemical
toilets.
Two companies, Eagle Plant and Brandon Hire, have been
particularly involved in these trials over the summer months and
the results so far have proved very encouraging.
Taunton has been receiving a combination of toilet wastes
treated with EverPro Euro tablets or with Bioquickscent toilet
deodoriser, Yeovil has been trialling the Bioquickscent. Site staff
have been closely monitoring any effect that the additives have had
on the process, the biological process seems to be coping well.
After the first six months of operations and monitoring the
effects of the additives, we may not yet have the 'green' light but
it is looking promising for a decision by the new year.
