Water works at Poole
Tanker drivers and waste
technicians at Poole treatment centre can, once again, use
the final effluent supply for washing down spillages, cleaning
vehicle wheels and keeping the discharge area clean.
After a number of semi successful
repairs it became apparent that a major and quite lengthy overhaul
of the wash down facilities was required - during which time
drivers had to share a wash down facility in another area of the
sewage treatment works.

Pete Hatcher commented: 'Drivers are really pleased to have the
facility permanently back on line as they can now comply with
health and safety code without having to shuffle their vehicle
around the site.
In fact they are back to completing their discharging and
washing down all in the one stop. It also makes life much easier
for the staff to keep the discharge area clean and tidy.'
